About Us

AbleLight, Inc. is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, meaningful lives. With roots reaching back to 1904, AbleLight began as a small Christian mission in Wisconsin and has since grown into a leading provider of life-changing support services across multiple states, including California. Its Mission Viejo office serves as a regional hub for connecting individuals and families in Orange County with comprehensive residential, community, and employment programs.
Guided by a mission founded on Christian love and compassion, AbleLight envisions a world where all people with developmental disabilities are “loved, secure, and flourishing in their communities.” The organization’s values emphasize dignity, respect, inclusion, and the inherent worth of every individual, driving its work to create supportive environments where people can achieve their goals and participate fully in community life.
