Habitat OC ReStore Holiday Food Drive Nov 19 - Dec 23

The Habitat for Humanity of Orange County ReStore locations in Anaheim and Santa Ana are partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County from Saturday, November 19 - Friday, December 23. Participants who bring in a donation of at least three non-perishable canned goods, dry food or personal care items to the Anaheim or Santa Ana ReStore during the drive will receive a Habitat OC ReStore discount coupon good toward an entire purchase. Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County helps feed more than 277,000 individuals per month with the help of partner donation collection sites like the Habitat OC ReStore. Together we can end hunger. In effort to consider everyone’s health and provide nutritious food to those in need, items that are low in sodium, low in sugar, and high in protein and fiber are the most needed items this holiday season. A list of these items include: peanut/other nut butters, rice (brown preferred), canned fruit, dried or canned beans, whole grain cereals, canned/boxed soup, whole grain pasta, canned meats & fish, and healthy snacks. Other most needed personal items include: diapers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toilet paper. Participants are encouraged to donate each week to collect the savings and to help end hunger.
