  • From Surviving to Thriving: The Strategic Role of Talent Management

The Strategic Role of Talent Management

Abstract: Over the last two years we have witnessed major disruptions ranging from a global pandemic, major technological shifts, social protest and geopolitical tensions. The impact of these factors is likely to be long-lasting and will fundamentally change the competitive dynamics of many industries. Thus, leaders must not only ensure their organizations survive immediate challenges, they must also consider how to best prepare their organizations for a future environment that will be very different than their past environment. Key to this transition is an organization’s ability to develop a robust and strategically aligned talent pipeline.

NexInfo and the Oracle Applications Technology Users Group (OATUG) are delighted to welcome guest presenter, Dr. Ian Williamson of the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, for our upcoming Human Resources and Technology-focused education session. Ian will discuss how leaders should frame the use of technology and data as a means to make talent management decisions that enhance their organization’s ability to transition from surviving to thriving in the face of disruption. Learning Objectives: Human Resources and Technology-focused education session. Ian will discuss how leaders should frame the use of technology and data as a means to make talent management decisions that enhance their organization’s ability to transition from surviving to thriving in the face of disruption. It is oftentimes not a lack of access to technology but an understanding of how to use technology that determines effectiveness.

This session provides guidance on how best to frame human resource-related issues so that technology can be appropriately used.
