Santa Ana College ranks #2 in California state for AA degrees for Latino Students

April 1, 2021 - SANTA ANA, CA –Santa Ana College has recently ranked #2 in the state of California for AA degrees among LatinX students, according to Excelencia in Education.

On a national level, LatinX student enrollment and degree completion continues to increase. As enrollment increases, many students are attending community colleges for their degree choices. Santa Ana College has become one the most desired colleges that LatinX students enroll for their education in Southern California, making them number two in the state for AA degree completion among the LatinX student population.

“We are honored to be ranked #2 in the state for AA degrees among LatinX students,” says Santa Ana Interim President, Dr. Marilyn Flores. “We have a lot of great degree programs and services that support student success, and we are humbled to serve all of our students with more intention and care.”

As Santa Ana College continues to serve students remotely, the college is creating more ways for students to thrive online and plans to offer some face-to-face in the fall. The college offers Digital Don’s Laptop program, where students can check out laptops to use for their classes, online tutoring services and counseling, and frequent campus services updates and live chats for students to receive real-time assistance and guidance to stay on track for their degree completion.  The College continues to offer face-to-face services for necessary critical areas by appointment and hopes to increase these services as the County transitions into less restrictive COVID-19 tiers.
